X-Men Participate in Moncton Open 2011

The X-Men Track & Field team recently participated in the Moncton Open 2011.


In the Men’s 18+ 60 Meter Dash Preliminaries Ji Kim placed 13th with a time of 7.68 seconds, Jide Ojuawo placed 14th in 7.69 seconds, Colin Phillips placed 15th in 7.83 seconds and Alex Vanderlinden placed 18th in 7.99 seconds. The fastest time in the preliminaries was 7.16 seconds. The X-Men did not qualify to move on to the finals.


X-Men placed 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th in the Men’s 18+ 300 Meter Dash. Jide Ojuawo led the way for the X-Men with a time of 40.30 seconds. Alex Vanderlinden was across the finish line next with a time of 40.42 seconds. Team mate Colin Phillips ran in a time of 41.30 seconds and Ji Kim with 41.56 seconds. Fastest time was 38.37 seconds.


In the 18+ 600 Meter Dash X-Men’s Stu MacNeil finished 2nd in a time of 1:32.74. Fastest time was 1:31.42.


X-Men’s Gabe Quenneville placed 3rd in the Men’s 18+ 1000 Meter Dash with a time of 2:49.74. Stu MacNeil came in 5th in a time of 2:57.22. Fastest time in this event was 2:37.39.


Jullian MacLean ran in 2nd in the Men’s 18+ 1500 Meter Dash in a time of 4:19.56. His team mates Robert Lavers placed 4th in a time of 4:33.65 and Gabe Quenneville came in at 4:43.31 to place 6th. 4:14.86 was the fastest time of this race.


In the Men’s 18+ Shot Put 7.26kg X-Men’s Stuart Walsh placed 3rd throwing 12.49 meters. Longest throw was 14.16 meters.


Stu Walsh also placed 3rd in the Men’s 18+ Weight Throw 35lb with a distance of 11.43 meters. Top throw was 14.96.
