Brad Peddle is in his 19th season with the StFX X-Men hockey program. Having served as Head Coach for the past 18 seasons, Peddle assumes the General Manager role for 2023-24 while also pursuing an NHL professional opportunity with the Columbus Blue Jackets as an amateur scout. Coach Peddle has lead the blue and white to 17 consecutive AUS playoff appearances and back-to-back AUS championships in 2016 and 2017. A two-time AUS Coach of the Year, Coach Peddle was also honored as the 2016 U SPORTS Coach of the Year. He has led the X-Men to eight University Cup championship appearances, with the X-Men claiming U SPORTS bronze in 2021 and 2019, and silver in both 2018 and 2016. Peddle was the head coach of the 2017 U SPORTS all-star team that competed against the Team Canada world junior all-star team, winning both games. He served as an assistant coach to the U SPORTS all-star team in 2016.

Peddle played with StFX from 1995-1999, during which time he received many prestigious awards, including the Dr. Randy Gregg Award as the country’s top hockey student-athlete, and he was named a CIS All-Canadian. He was a former captain with the X-Men, earned academic All-Canadian distinction and was the StFX Male Athlete of the Year in 1999. He also played on the Canadian national team in 1997 and the with the CIAU all-star team in the 1999 CIAU/NCAA Challenge. 

Peddle went on to play professionally for five years including a two-year stint in the ECHL and three seasons in Europe. His previous coaching experience includes roles as assistant coach of the Halifax Jr. A Wolverines and head coach of the Antigonish Jr. A Bulldogs. He was named an assistant coach for Team Canada for the 2013 World University Games.
