Emilia Mikanovich from the Saint Mary's Huskies women's volleyball team is the Atlantic University Sport Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Nov. 17, 2024.

The third-year left side from Minsk, Belarus, led the Huskies attack in a pair of wins over the Memorial Sea-Hawks, averaging 16.5 points, 15 kills, and 12 digs across a pair of matches.

In Friday's 3-1 win over the Sea-Hawks, Mikanovich led the Huskies with a match-high 17 kills, adding eight digs and an assist.

In Saturday's 3-1 win over the Sea-Hawks, Mikanovich was named Player of the Match, leading the Huskies with 13 kills, 16 digs, two service aces, two block assists and one assist.

STFX X-Men hockey player Patrick Leaver is the Atlantic University Sport Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Nov. 17, 2024.

The first-year business student from Perth, Ont. backstopped the X-Men to a 1-0 shutout win Saturday night over the U SPORTS no. 1-ranked UNB REDS. It marked the first time a team has shutout the REDS since October 2022.

He had 34 saves on the night and earned first star and player of the game honours.
