Tamina Kehler of the University of New Brunswick women's hockey team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport male athlete of the week for the week ending December 5, 2021. 

A third-year forward from Chilliwack, British Columbia, Kehler was dominant for the Reds on Tuesday, contributing three points to her team's 4-0 road win over Moncton. Her two goals and one assist earned her first-star honours at the game, UNB's only competition of the week.

The Reds finish the first half of the AUS season sitting in second place with a 12-3-0-1 record. They return to the ice on Wednesday, January 5 when they visit the Mount Allison Mounties.

Liam Hawel of the St. Francis Xavier University men's hockey team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport male athlete of the week for the week ending December 5, 2021. 

A first-year business student from Arnprior, Ontario, Hawel contributed four points to the X-Men's 8-6 win over the Saint Mary's Huskies on Wednesday night. His two goals and two assists earned him the second star of the game and helped move StFX into second place in the conference with a 12-5-1 record.

Hawel currently leads the AUS and U SPORTS in both points scored (30) and goals scored (15). StFX's season continues Friday, January 7 when the host Saint Mary's.
