The X-Men hockey team easily handled the visiting Dalhousie Tigers Wednesday night with an 8-4 win at the StFX Keating Centre.
\r\nThe X-Men held leads of 4-2 and 6-3 after the first and second periods and Brett Morrison fired a hat trick in the victory. Brett Robertson added two goals for StFX.
\r\nBryce Swan, Kevin Undershute and Jevin MacLellan provided the other goals for the X-Men while Brendon MacDonald, Kyle Lamb, Aaron Lewicki and Hampus Enzell scored for the Tigers. Swan and Undershute also had 3 assists a piece for the X-Men.
\r\nDanny Battochio earned the win in nets for X, facing 22 shots while Chris Wall and Josh Disher split the netminding duties in the losing effort for Dalhousie.
\r\nWith the win the X-Men increase their fourth place lead in the AUS standings heading into the final game of the season. They currently have a 15-10-2 record with 32 points, 3 more then both Acadia and UPEI. The X-Men will face Acadia Saturday night in Wolfville while UPEI has 2 games remaining.
