X-Women Soccer forward Amanda Smith was named the STFX Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Oct. 22, 2023. Amanda, a second year Education student (5th year eligibility) from Ottawa, ON was the player of the game in two X-Women shutout wins this weekend, scoring 6 goals and 3 assists. In Friday’s 8-0 win over Moncton, Amanda scored 4 goals and had 3 assists. She followed up by scoring both X-Women goals in Saturday’s 2-0 win over UNB, leading the U SPORTS No. 5 ranked STFX to a perfect 12-0-0 undefeated season atop the AUS conference. Amanda finished tied for first in AUS scoring (28) was second in goals (22) and moved to third overall in AUS career goals scored with 50.
