Subway STFX Female Athlete of the Week (co-winner)

X-Women Hockey forward Maggy Burbidge was named the STFX Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 3, 2024. Maggy, a fourth year Arts student from Falmouth, NS was the player of the game in STFX’s 3-1 win in Game 4 of the semifinals Monday at St. Thomas. She scored two goals in the 3-1 win, including one shorthanded. She also scored a power play goal in STFX’s 4-0 win in Game 5 on Thursday as the X-Women clinched the semifinal series to advance to the championship series. Maggy was named an AUS second team all-star this week.

X-Women Hockey defense Mackenzie Lothian was named the STFX Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 3, 2024. Mackenzie, a first year Business student from Alliston, ON was the player of the game in STFX’s 4-0 win in Game 5 of the semifinals Thursday against St. Thomas. She scored one goal and had two assists in the 4-0 win that clinched the semifinal series to advance the X-Women to the championship series. Mackenzie was also named to the AUS All-Rookie team last week. She had 12 points in regular season play (5 goals, 7 assists).
