Subway STFX Female Athlete of the Week

X-Women Soccer goalkeeper Christina Gentile was named the STFX Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Oct. 9, 2022. Christina, a fourth year Arts student from Laval, Que. backstopped the X-Women to a key 3-1 victory over Cape Breton on Thursday on the road. It was the first loss of the season for the nationally ranked Capers as the X-Women improved to 5-2-0. Christina posted seven saves for the win in the X net and received player of the game honours. She currently has a 4-2 record with a .758 save percentage and 1.33 goals against average.
