Subway STFX Female Athlete of the Week

X-Women Basketball forward Shannon Neita was named the STFX Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Nov. 17, 2024. Shannon, a second year Business student from Toronto, ON played two big games for the X-Women in Fredericton this weekend. In Friday’s 55-49 win she lead the team in scoring with 10 points and had a double-double night with 11 rebounds. Shannon almost pulled out a triple-double, contributing 9 steals. In Saturday’s close 61-53 loss, she scored 9 points and had an impressive game-high 19 rebounds, along with 4 steals and 2 assists. The 19 rebounds tied a STFX record for most rebounds in a single game. Shannon is currently averaging 11.3 points/game and 10.2 rebounds/game this season.
