The Canadian Football League (CFL) announced the U SPORTS quarterbacks that will participate in the Canadian Quarterback Internship Program at CFL training camps in advance of the 2019 season. StFX's Bailey Wasdal will be attending the Ottawa RedBlacks training camp.
X-Men kicker/punter Kieran Burnham and offensive lineman Jonathan Zamora have been selected to compete for the East team in the U SPORTS East-West Bowl in Ottawa on May 11th. The game features U SPORTS athlete heading into their final season of eligibility and serves as a key scouting game for future CFL prospects. Both Burnham and Zamora were AUS all-stars on the conference champion X-Men squad this past season.
