Seven X-Men invited to various CFL combines

The StFX X-Men football team will be well represented at upcoming Canadian Football League (CFL) combines. Seven X-Men athletes have been invited to various combines to showcase their skills.

The league will be hosting three regional combines in Edmonton (March 11), Montreal (March 13) and Toronto (March 21) where prospects will be evaluated and attempt to earn an invitation to the 2019 National Combine taking place March 22-24 in Toronto.

The CFL National Combine will feature the top prospects eligible for the 2019 CFL Draft competing in front of CFL coaches, general managers and player personnel.

StFX All-Canadian receiver/punt returner Kaion Julien-Grant (Toronto, ON) has been invited to the national combine. Ranked 13th on the CFL prospect list in December, he is the lone X-Men and one of three AUS athletes to make the cut.

Invited to the western regional combine in Edmonton are a pair of X-Men linebackers - Ben vonMueldorfer (Calgary, AB) and Grant Kolybaba (Lacombe, AB).

At the Montreal regional combine, four X-Men will be showcasing their talents, including defensive back Jeremy Fagnan (Bonnyville, AB), linebacker Gordon Whyte (Toronto, ON) and defensive linemen Tyler Cordeiro (Oakville, ON) and Jimmie Cunningham (Niagara Falls, ON).
