McDonald's X-Men Football Offensive Athlete of the Week
X-Men running back Jordan Socholotiuk was named the StFX Football Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 10, 2018. Jordan, a 4th year Arts student (5th year eligibility) from Waterford, ON was named the Loney Bowl championship MVP, helping to lead his X-Men to a 33-9 victory over SMU to capture the 2018 AUS conference championship. Jordan had 179 rushing yards on 34 carries in the final game, averaging 5.3 yards per carry. The leading rusher in the country this year, his X-Men now advance to the U SPORTS Uteck Bowl.

X-Men defensive lineman Alex Fedchun was named the StFX Football Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 10, 2018. Alex, a 1st year Human Kinetics student from Calgary, Alta. played a huge game on the X-Men defense in their 33-9 AUS championship Loney Bowl victory over SMU. He had 8.5 tackles in the game, including six solo tackles, and also contributed to 2.5 sacks for a loss of 13 yards and 4.5 total tackles for a loss of 17 yards. In addition, Alex had a forced fumble for a loss of 15 yards and one breakup in the game as the X-Men advance to the U SPORTS Uteck Bowl.

X-Men defensive back Jeremy Pike was named the StFX Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 10, 2018.  Jeremy, a 5th year Arts student (3rd year eligibility) from Cornwall, Ont. played a big game defensively on the X-Men's special team unit in helping to contribute to their 33-9 AUS championship Loney Bowel victory over SMU. Jeremy had excellent downfield coverage and blocking in limiting the Huskies returners. He had three tackles I the game, along with one interception and a forced fumble as the X-Men advance to the U SPORTS Uteck Bowl.
