Pita Pit X-Men Football Offensive Athlete of the Week
X-Men running back Malcolm Bussey was named the STFX Football Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 10, 2023. Malcolm, a third year Human Kinetics student from Hammonds Plains, NS, scored two touchdowns in the X-Men's 42-8 win over MtA on Saturday. Both majors came in the second quarter as he had 2 and 40 yard scores. Malcolm had 17 carries for 93 yards in the game, and his 118.7 rushing average tops all AUS rushers. He currently has 54 rushes for 356 total yards on the season.

X-Men linebacker Josh Connors was named the STFX Football Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 10, 2023. Josh, a fourth year Business student from Toronto, ON played another strong game on the X-Men defense in their 43-8 win over Mount Allison on Saturday. He led the X-Men in tackling with six in the game, all solo tackles. He also had a sack for a loss of four yards. Josh currently leads the AUS with 21 tackles on the season (18 solo, 6 assisted).

Pita Pit X-Men Football Special Teams Athlete of the Week
X-Men kicker/punter Ben Hadley was named the STFX Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 10, 2023. Ben, a fourth year Business student from Halifax, NS had a huge game for the X-Men in their 43-8 win over MtA, scoring 29 points and earning Player of the Game honours. He set a STFX record and tied the AUS record with 6 field goals in the game. His FG scores came from 30, 17, 36, 45, 40 and 42 yards out, while he also kicked three PA's and two rouges. Ben ran in a 14-yard touchdown after a botched snap and had five kick-offs in the game for 326 yards, averaging 65.2 yards/kick.
