X-Men Football Offensive Athlete of the Week
X-Men quarterback Tivon Cook was named the StFX Football Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 2, 2016. Tivon, a 4th year Arts student (5th yr elig) from Scarborough, ON threw five touchdown passes in the X-Men's 37-17 win over SMU Saturday. Tivon threw 3 TD passes (29, 31 & 43 yds) in the 1st quarter and one (20 yds) in the 2nd to give the X-Men an early 28-0 lead to set the tone for the game. His 5th TD pass of 40 yds came in the 4th quarter. In total, Tivon was 19 for 33 with 305 total passing yards. He currently leads the AUS in passing, averaging 307 yds/game with 1228 total yards and 8 TD's. 

X-Men Football Defensive Athlete of the Week
X-Men defensive lineman Tyler Cordeiro was named the StFX Football Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 2, 2016. Tyler, a third year Human Kinetics student from Oakville, ON dominated the line of scrimmage in the X-Men's 37-17 win over SMU on Saturday. He had 4.5 tackles in the game, including four solo and one assisted tackle, along with one breakup. Tyler is currently third in team defense with 16.5 total tackles this season, averaging 4.1 tackles/game. 

X-Men Football Special Teams Athlete of the Week
X-Men linebacker Gordon Whyte was named the StFX Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 2, 2016. Gordon, a 2nd year Business student from Toronto, ON was honored for his long snapping and special teams coverage in the X-Men's 37-17 victory over SMU on Saturday. Gordon had six tackles in the game, including five solo and two assisted, with one being a tackle for a loss of two yards. Gordon is currently 11th overall in AUS defense with 19.5 tackles on the season, averaging 4.9 tackles/game.
