X-Men football defensive lineman Nate Annan is the latest athlete featured in our Getting to Know your X-Women and X-Men series throughout the summer. Nate recently completed his second year with the X-Men and is a Business student from St. Thomas, ON.

What brought you to StFX?
A lot of this brought me to X. It was a combination of a great school, a great coach, and supporting parents.

What has been your best moment in a StFX uniform so far?
My best moment in the StFX uniform so far has been every time I put it on. I know it sounds corny but its true, being part of a team here at StFX has been a great moment.

What are you most looking forward to this season?
This season I am looking forward to seeing the new talent combined with the older talent to create a very unique force within the AUS.

Who has been the most influential person in your life (and why)?
I would have to say my mother has been the most influential person in my life because she showed me that everything just doesn’t come to you and you need to work hard if you want something. Also to never turn opportunity down, because you never know who or what is knocking on the other side.

One thing I cannot live without is…?
My best friend Daniel McLeish!

My dream vacation destination is…?
My dream vacation would have to be to backpacking through Europe.

Tell us one thing that fans may not know about you? 
I play pokemon religiously!
