Steve Myddelton, a fourth year offensive lineman from Barrie, ON was named a CIS first team All-Canadian. Steve was the AUS Lineman of the Year and the AUS nominee for the J.P. Metras Award. He has been a dominant player at the left tackle position for the X-Men this season, a definitive leader on the offensive line, and was a captain with the blue and white.

A 2008 CIS East-West Bowl participant, Steve is currently ranked 7th overall in the nation for CFL prospects for the upcoming 2009 entry draft amongst all eligible CIS student-athletes. A two-time AUS all-star, he did not allow any sacks this past season and he also played on the defensive line at many points over the past two years.

Henoc Muamba, a second year linebacker from Kinshasa, Congo, was named a second team CIS All-Canadian. He was the AUS Defensive Player of the Year and AUS nominee for the President’s Trophy and earned AUS Defensive Player of the Week recognition on four occasions this past season. He has been a dominant player at the weakside linebacker position for the X-Men in only his second season in the CIS and was named a team captain.

He led all AUS linebackers in tackles with an average of 5.8 tackles/game and 40.5 on the season, and was tied for 2nd overall in the conference in interception with 3. Over the course of 7 regular season games, Henoc also had 7.5 tackles for loss for 40 yards, 3.5 sacks, 2 break-ups and 1 forced fumble.

James Green, a fourth year running back from Halifax, NS, was named a second team CIS All-Canadian. James was a major threat to be defended and was the heart and soul of the StFX offense this past season. Despite having to sit out 2½ games with an ankle injury late in the season, James still led the AUS in rushing (135 yards/game), rush attempts (131), rushing yards (814) and rushing touchdowns (7) in six games played.

A participant in the 2008 CIS East-West Bowl, James tallied 967 all-purpose yards (161.2 yards/game); second overall in this conference category. He is a complete back, who despite his limited size, blocks very well and catches the ball out of the backfield often.
