X-Men running back Junior Hall was named the StFX Football Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 26, 2008. Junior, a second year Arts student from Toronto, ON was the X-Men’s main rusher on Friday night in their 49-7 loss to Saint Mary’s. He had 11 carries for 56 yards in a tough game which saw several X-Men regulars resting. In 8 games played this season, he is currently 3rd on the team in rushing with 19.6 yds/g.

X-Men defensive end Matt Griffin was named the StFX Football Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 26, 2008. Matt, a second year Human Kinetics student from Kingston, ON played tough defense in the X-Men’s 49-7 loss to SMU on Friday. He had 4 solo and 1 assisted tackle in the game, included 2 tackles for losses. He also had 2 sacks in the game for a combined loss of 20 yards.

X-Men wide receiver Curtis Cammaert was named the StFX Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 26, 2008 for the third time this season. Curtis, a fourth year Arts student from London, ON had 5 kickoff returns for 116 total yards (including a long return of 42 yards) in the X-Men’s recent 49-7 loss to SMU. He also had 3 tackles in the game and 1 forced fumble.
