Jan 28, 2008 - The X-Women continued their undefeated streak this past weekend earning two more wins, both shutouts victories, Saturday afternoon in Halifax they shutout second place Saint Mary's 6-0 and Sunday afternoon at home they romped Mount Allison 10-0. Crystal Stewart earned the win in nets Saturday against the Huskies with 28 saves while Jillian MacIsaac took the loss for the Huskies. Both teams were held scoreless in the first period and Brayden Ferguson scored a lone goal in the second period to establish a 1-0 lead after two periods of play. The X skaters went on a scoring tear in the third period as Carolyn Campbell and Jessica Shanahan scored single markers and Ferguson fired her second of the game. Christina Davis rounded out the scoring in the game with two third period goals. Shanahan also had three assists in the game.

On Sunday afternoon home at the Keating Centre, Amanda Church fired a season high five goals in the game as the X-Women romped the Mount Allison Mounties 10-0. Christina Davis had a hat trick in the game and Brayden Ferguson and Jacinta Sullivan also scored goals for the X-Women who built a 5-0 lead after the first period and a 7-0 lead after the second. Ferguson also added four assists in the game and Marilynn Hay had three assists. StFX fired 42 shots at Mount A goaltender Shauna Neary while Katie Harvieux earned the win for StFX with 14 saves.

Next on the schedule for the 16-0-0 X-Women is a home game this Saturday afternoon against the Saint Mary's Huskies. Game time is 2pm at the Keating Centre.
