Michael Marousek opened the scoring in the game for StFX with a goal 39 minutes into the game. The goal was the second of the season for the veteran striker. Freshman Kareem Henry added two goals in the second half of the game to seal the win for StFX, handing the Mounties their first loss of the AUS season. Henry's first goal was scored in the 75th minute and his second one in the final minute of play.

Freshman keeper Andrew MacDonald earned the shut out win in nets for the X-Men. Forward Tom Bradley was named Player of the Game for the X-Men while Curtis Michaelis earned Player of the Game honors for Mount A.

The win salvaged a 1-1 road trip weekend split for the X-Men as they were coming off a 1-0 loss in Charlottetown to UPEI on Saturday night.

Next on the schedule for the blue and white is a two-game home stand this weekend. Saturday afternoon, Sept. 26th they will host Moncton (1-3-0) at 4:15 pm while on Sunday, also at 4:15 the UNB Varsity Reds (2-0-2) will be in town.
