Soccer X-Men fall to Capers
The soccer X-Men dropped a 3-1 decision to the Cape Breton Capers Friday afternoon in Antigonish. The X-Men had a 1-0 lead after an early goal by Michael Marousek, but two penalty kick goals by the Capers were the difference in the game. The three Cape Breton goals all came in the second half courtesy of Andrew Leggett, Ian Coke and Seion Darrell.

The loss drops the X-Men (3-4-3) to 6th place overall in the AUS standings with 13 points, while the Capers (3-4-3) sit in 5th place with 15 points. The X-Men have a key match up Sunday afternoon in PEI as they will play the 7th place Panthers (4-3-3) who currently have 12 points and will have a game in hand as they place first place UNB Saturday afternoon.

With only one weekend left after this weekend's games, all three teams are fighting for one of the top five spots for a playoff berth. AUS championship host Mount Allison currently sit in 8th place but gain an automatic entry as the host team.
