MacIntosh plays three games with Screaming Eagles
X-Men hockey forward Cory MacIntosh was recalled to join his former team, the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles of the QMJHL on December 21st. The native of North Sydney, N.S. played the last three seasons with Cape Breton prior to joining the X-Men lineup for the 2012-13 campaign.

The Screaming Eagles roster was on the depleted side with several injuries and three current players away in Quebec attending the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge. MacIntosh played three games with his former squad while the X-Men were on their holiday break.

MacIntosh played for the Screaming Eagles in their 4-3 loss to the Moncton Wildcats on the 21st, along with Friday night in their 4-1 loss to the Halifax Mooseheads in Sydney, N.S. The left winger assisted on the Screaming Eagles lone goal. The Mooseheads beat the Screaming Eagles again on Saturday 4-1 in Halifax.

MacIntosh will rejoin the X-Men as they open AUS regular season for the second half of the season on Jan. 4th and 5thfor games at home against the Moncton Aigles Bleus and St. Thomas Tommies. 

In seven AUS regular season games played to date for StFX, MacIntosh has scored five points (4 goals, 1 assist), including one game-winning goal. He suffered an injury early in the AUS season.

In three seasons with the Screaming Eagles from 2009 through to 2012, MacIntosh played in 185 regular season and playoff games, tallying 92 points (35 goals, 57 assists). 

His X-Men teammate Brad Cuzner (Glace Bay, N.S.), also a first year forward with the blue and white, recently wrapped up a three-game stint with the Halifax Mooseheads of the QMJHL over the holiday break.
