2014 Hall of Fame: Honoring Sue MacDonald

2014 StFX Sports Hall of Fame Inductee – ATHLETE CATEGORY
Susan (MacEachern) MacDonald

Susan ‘Sue’ MacDonald (nee MacEachern),  a dominant force on the field hockey pitch, played four seasons from 1984 to 1987 with the X-Women.  An outstanding student-athlete in the Bachelor of Physical Education program, Sue was recognized as the StFX female athlete of the year in 1988. A team captain with the field hockey X-Women, Sue was also acknowledged as a CIAU All-Canadian in 1988. Further accolades include recognition as an AUAA all-star for two years, and participation in the 1985 Canada Games.

The 2014 Hall of Fame Induction ceremony and dinner is scheduled for Thursday, October 9th at 6:00 pm at the Charles V. Keating Centre conference rooms. The St. Francis Xavier University Sports Hall of Fame was founded in 1976 and exists to honour those individuals who have contributed significantly to StFX sports as athletes, teams, or as builders. Those chosen inductees have exemplified the spirit and ideals of Xaverian athletics in their professional and community lives.
