The StFX X-Women earned a pair of ties versus the Memorial Sea-Hawks in AUS soccer action in St. John’s over the weekend.

Sunday morning, the teams played to a scoreless draw.

The X-Women had several chances, but Sea-Hawks’ freshman goalkeeper Hannah Noseworthy kept the blue and white off the score sheet.

Maris Miller made two saves in recording back-to-back shutouts to highlight a homecoming to her native province.

The X-Women had nine shots and nine corner kicks in the match. Defender Meaghan Ramsden was player of the game for X.

Saturday, Maura Woodman scored in the 81st minute to secure a 1-1 tie for the X-Women.

The blue and white outshot the Sea-Hawks 10-8. Miller made seven saves for the win. Rachel Dragan earned player of the game for the X-Women.

The X-Women (2-6-5) return to action Friday when they travel to Sydney to face the Cape Breton University Capers.
The blue and white will host the Acadia Axewomen Saturday at Oland Stadium in their final regular season home game. Game time is 4 p.m.
