Soccer X-Women drop to 0-3 in AUS play

The StFX X-Women dropped to 0-3 in AUS regular season play after a 3-0 loss to the Saint Mary’s Huskies Sunday afternoon in Halifax.

Kara Slawter opened the scoring for the home team in the 20th minute.

Goals by Jennifer Caldwell (65th minute) and Michelle Yates (71st) rounded out the scoring in the second half.

X-Women goal keeper Maris Miller made 10 saves.

Samantha Bell turned aside nine blue-and-white shots for the shutout.

The X-Women return to action Friday, Sept. 21 when they visit Sackville, N.B. to face the Mount Allison Mounties. They will follow up with a game againt UPEI on Saturday.
