X-Women Soccer fall short against SMU
Friday AUS 4th ranked X-Women Soccer concluded their season with a 2-1 loss against Saint Mary's in AUS playoffs hosted in Acadia. The X-Women entered the finals with a 6-5-2 record.

The StFX X-Women and Saint Mary's Huskies played to a scoreless first half in front of a crowd of 150.

Second half, StFX was the first to get on the board with Nicole Melong (59:29) taking a penalty kick. Melong scored two goals for the X-Women in regular season play. Saint Mary's Hayley Fox responded with an unassisted goal at 72:19 to tie the game, Lindsay Millett (89:33) of the Huskies then gets one past StFx's net minder to bring the score to 2-1 and eventually the final score of the game. 

Total shots on net were 9 to 6 in Saint Mary's favor.  Huskies Justine Caldwell took the win while Anna Thompson from StFX was tagged with the loss.
