X-Women soccer forward Jessica Gray and X-Men football linebacker Henoc Muamba were named the StFX Female and Male Athletes of the Week for the week ending Oct. 5, 2008.

Jessica, a second year Science student from Dartmouth, NS was the Player of the Game and scored the X-Women’s lone goal in a key 1-0 four-point victory over Moncton this past Sunday. She also played a strong game in X’s 0-0 tie with Saint Mary’s on Friday and currently leads the team in scoring with 3 goals.

Henoc, a second year Information Systems student from Kinshasa, Congo was this week’s Defensive Football Player of the Week for the 4th time this season. In Saturday’s 32-26 loss the SMU, he had 4.5 tackles (2 solo and 5 assisted), along with a sack, fumble recovery and an interception which he returned for 8 yards.
