X-Women rugby improve to 3-0

The CIS ranked No. 3 X-Women rugby team continued their dominance over AUS opponents with a 49-3 win over the UPEI Panthers Saturday afternoon in Charlottetown.

Third year prop Asya Bartley and first year fullback Magali Harvey led the X-Women attack with three tries a piece. Harvey also added one convert in the game for a 17 point contribution.

Single tries were scored by Jessica Jacobs, Bobbi Jo Cronk and Alex Munroe and fifth year veteran Courtnay Malcolm scored one convert in the game.

Bailey Harper scored a penalty goal for the Panthers.

With the win the X-Women improve to 3-0 on the season as they have outscored their opponents by a 167-3 margin to date.

Next on the AUS schedule for the first place X-Women is a Wednesday evening game in Halifax against the third place Saint Mary’s Huskies (1-2).
