X-Men running back Ashton Dickson was named the StFX Football Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 28, 2012. Ashton, a 2nd  year Arts student from Ottawa, ON, led the team in rushing in their recent loss to Saint Mary’s. Ashton had 22 carries for 63 total yards and also had one reception in the game. He finished the season 5th overall in AUS rushing, averaging 78.4 yards/game.

X-Men football linebacker Brett Hubbeard was named the StFX Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 28, 2012. Brett, a third year arts student from Peterborough, ON had nine tackles in the X-Men’s recent loss to SMU. All his tackles were solo tackles, and he Brett also had 2 tackles for a loss of 6 yards, along with 1 breakup. He finishes the season 1st in the AUS in tackles with 60 total on the season.

X-Men kicker Hayden Peters was named the StFX Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 28, 2012. Hayden, a first year Human Kinetics student from Inverary, Ont., amassed 505 punting yards (15 punts) in the X-Men’s recent loss to SMU, averaging 33.7 yds/punt. He also had ten tackles in the game (eight solo and four assisted) and one breakup.
