X-Men wide receiver Andrew Hickey was named the StFX Football Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 22, 2012. Andrew, a 2nd  year Education student (5th year eligibility) from Fredericton, had four receptions for 37 yards in the X-Men’s recent loss to Mount A. Andrew also threw a pass for a key 32 yard reception late in the game that set up an X-Men touchdown.

X-Men football defensive tackle Nate Annan was named the StFX Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 22, 2012. Nate, a fourth year business student from St. Thomas, Ont. played a strong game on the X-Men defensive line in their recent loss to Mount A. Nate had nine total tackles in the game (six solo and six assisted), including one tackle for a loss. He has averaged 4.2 tackles/game this season.

X-Men kicker Hayden Peters was named the StFX Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 22, 2012. Hayden, a first year Human Kinetics student from Inverary, Ont., amassed 504 punting yards (13 punts) in the X-Men’s recent loss to Mount A. He also booted two rouges and three kickoffs for 169 yards and was on the return team. Hayden returned two kickoffs for 22 yards and one punt for 13 yards.
