Sackville, NB – The StFX X-Women played a hard fought game Saturday afternoon against the Mount Allison Mounties but ended the day with a scoreless 0-0 draw.

X-Women head coach Graham Kennedy noted, "We played a determined Mount A side today and although we had some very good periods of possession and forward play, we didn't finish out chances the way we should have."

Chances is what the X-Women squad did have – they outshot the Mounties 26-3 including a 12-2 advantage on shots on goal.

Forwards Hannah Engdahl and Melanie Belong directed five and four shots, respectively, and Mercy Myles continued her strong play in the midfield and also had four shots in the game.

StFX also had their fair share of corner kicks but could not convert any into scoring plays.

Alyssa Spridgeon picked up the win in the StFX net as the X-Women record now sits at 3-0-1.

They will be back on the road Sunday when they head to Fredericton to take on the UNB Reds in a 1:00 pm game.
