Atlantic University Sport is pleased to announce the 2018-19 regular season sport schedules for hockey, basketball and volleyball, as well as the hosts for the 2019 AUS winter championships.

X-Women hockey forward Daley Oddy was named the StFX Female Student-Athlete of the Year, while X-Men soccer striker Daniel Hayfield and X-Men cross country/track & field distance runner Angus Rawling were co-awarded StFX Male Student-Athlete of the Year honors at the awards gala celebrated Wednesday evening.

A pair of StFX hockey jerseys and game-used sticks are heading to the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. Daley Oddy’s navy jersey and Sarah Bujold’s white jersey, along with recently used hockey sticks by the duo are being added to the overall collection at the Hall, and will be preserved and organized within the U SPORTS women’s hockey collection.

StFX forward Daley Oddy was honoured Wednesday evening as the U SPORTS player of the year, in addition to being named a U SPORTS 1st team All-Canadian. Defenseman Lindsey Donovan was also singled out as a 1st team All-Canadian and Emerson Elliott was named to the U SPORTS all-rookie team.

The first place X-Women hockey team did outstanding with AUS accolades as Daley Oddy was named the conference MVP, Emerson Elliott received AUS rookie of the year honours, and Ben Berthiaume was named AUS coach of the year. Oddy was also named an AUS first team all-star forward, alongside teammates Sarah Bujold at forward and Lindsey Donovan on defense. Goaltender Carley Molar was named an AUS second team all-star, while forward Elliott and defense Amy Graham were named to the AUS all-rookie team.

The X-Women hockey team will face Moncton in the AUS semfinal series as the schedules were released today.

StFX Athletics is pleased to announce that tickets for Game 1 of the AUS men’s hockey semifinal playoff series and Game 1 of the AUS women’s hockey playoff series are now on sale.

The U SPORTS No 4. ranked StFX X-Women clinched first place in the AUS standings with a 6-2 victory over the Dalhousie Tigers Friday night at the Charles V. Keating Centre.

The Saint Mary’s Huskies (19-3-1) defended home ice with a 5-0 shutout victory over the StFX X-Women (19-2-2) at Alumni Arena on Sunday afternoon.

The StFX X-Women extended their winning streak to 12 games atop the AUS conference but they needed overtime to do so, defeating the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues 3-2 Saturday afternoon game at the Charles V. Keating Centre.

The StFX X-Men hockey team are back atop the U SPORTS Top Ten national rankings, while the X-Women hockey team move up a spot to No. 3 in the country.

The U SPORTS No. 4 ranked StFX X-Women (18-1-2) extended their winning streak to 11 games with a 4-2 victory over the Mount Allison Mounties (3-15-3) Saturday evening.

The U SPORTS No. 4 ranked StFX X-Women defeated the St. Thomas Tommies 4-3 in double overtime in AUS women’s hockey action Friday night at the Grant-Harvey Centre.

The U SPORTS No. 4 ranked StFX X-Women defeated the UPEI Panthers 2-1 in overtime Sunday afternoon at the Charles V. Keating Centre.

The U SPORTS No. 4 ranked StFX X-Women shut out the visiting St. Thomas Tommies 2-0 Friday night at the Charles V. Keating Centre. The victory extended the X-Women’s winning streak to eight consecutive games as they sit atop the AUS conference with a 15-1-2 record. The third place Tommies now stand at 11-4-2.

The X-Men hockey team drops one spot to No.2 in the latest U SPORTS Top Ten rankings, while the X-Women hockey team retains their No. 4 ranking.
