Kara Power of the St. Francis Xavier X-Women hockey team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport female athlete of the week for the week ending Nov. 27, 2016.

A second-year bachelor of education student in her fifth year of eligibility from New Glasgow, N.S., Power scored two goals and added an assist in two StFX wins this past week.

In Wednesday's 2-1 overtime victory over the U Sport No. 2-ranked Saint Mary's Huskies, she assisted on the X-Women's game-winning goal.

In Sunday's 3-2 win over Dalhousie, Power was named Subway Player of the game after notching two goals. She currently sits sixth overall in AUS scoring with 14 points on the season (four goals and 10 assists).

Year of eligibility: Third
Academic program: BBA

Robert Steeves of the Acadia Axemen hockey team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport male athlete of the week for the week ending Nov. 27, 2016.

A third-year business student from Moncton, N.B., Steeves was an integral part of two wins at home this past weekend.

Friday, the Axemen downed the U Sports No. 1-ranked UNB Varsity Reds 2-1. Steeves stopped 38 of 39 shots he faced and was named the Subway First Star of the Game.

Acadia then topped the UPEI Panthers 5-2 Saturday evening. Steeves faced 28 shots and made 26 saves in the win.
