Sydney, NS - Four players finished in double figures as the Cape Breton Capers defeated the StFX X-Women 69-59 in AUS women's basketball action Tuesday evening at Sullivan Fieldhouse.

Alison Keough had 19 points and 11 rebounds for the Capers, who improved to 7-4 on the season.

Colleen Keane added 12 points, eight rebounds, three assists and two steals for the winners, while Hannah Brown and Valentina Primossi chipped in with 15 and 11 points each for the home side who led by seven after the first quarter and never looked back.

Kolbi Roper had 18 points and nine rebounds and Lindsay Lessard 18 points for the X-Women, who drop to 2-10 overall.

The Capers will be back in action this Friday and Saturday when they host the University of Prince Edward Island Panthers at the Sullivan Fieldhouse. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. both days.

The X-Women are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Halifax for a 1:00 pm game against Saint Mary's. The game will be held at the Scotiabank Centre in conjunction with the Varsity Showdown event.
