Lindsay Lessard of the St. Francis Xavier X-Women's basketball team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport female athlete of the week for the week ending Nov. 16, 2014.

A third-year human kinetics student from Waterloo, Ont., Lessard was an integral part of two wins for the X-Women versus the Acadia Axewomen this past week, posting two double-doubles.

In Wednesday's 57-50 StFX victory in Wolfville, Lessard scored 11 points and had 13 rebounds and three assists. In Saturday's 74-54 win over the Axewomen, she contributed a game-high 18 points and added 11 rebounds, four assists and four steals.

Lessard was named Subway player of the game in both matchups for her efforts.

Tyler Scott of the University of Prince Edward Island Panthers men's basketball team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport male athlete of the week for the week ending Nov. 16, 2014.

A second-year business student from Halifax, N.S., Scott was an integral part of two weekend wins for the Panthers versus the CIS No. 6-ranked Cape Breton Capers.

In Friday's 93-85 win, he posted a game-high 38 points and added eight rebounds, three assists and a steal.

He led the scoring again in Saturday's 107-106 victory, posting 28 points and adding two rebounds, four assists and two steals. He was also responsible for the game-winning free throw which put the Panthers ahead by one point to claim the victory.

Scott is currently leading the country in points per game with an average of 28.8.
