X-Women track & field sprinter Jillian Murphy is the latest athlete featured in our Getting to Know your X-Women and X-Men series throughout the summer. Jillian is a fourth year Nursing student from Port Williams, N.S.

My favorite moment to date as a StFX student-athlete is…?       
In my first year I ran on the 4x200m team and we were in a tight race but ended up beating our rivals Dalhousie and advanced to the CIS Championship. That weekend really showed me how much of a family the track team is.

If I could be StFX President for one day I would…?     
Build an indoor track and field complex.

A unique talent or skill I have is…?           
Some of my teammates taught me how to crack an apple in half using my forehead.

My biggest pet peeve is…? ‎   
When people chew their food loudly.

My favorite childhood memory is…?      
My favorite childhood memory in sports would be all of the summers I spent on the soccer fields.

Something interesting about my hometown is…?            
Port Williams is home of the Bay of Fundy which is famous for having the highest tides in the world.
