X-Men track & field sprinter Andrew Bain is the latest athlete featured in our Getting to Know your X-Women and X-Men series throughout the summer. Andrew recently completed his first year with the X-Men and is an Arts student from Gatineau, Que.

Nickname:  Bain. My teammates and close friends also refer to me as the 'Bain-train'.

My favorite StFX sporting moment to date is…?
Setting the new 4x400m relay AUS record and winning the men's AUS banner.

If I could meet any famous person it would be…?
Tony McQuay, I'd also want to train with him.

My favorite Disney movie or character is…?
This is a tough one for me since I grew up watching a lot of Disney movies with my younger sister. I like a lot of them but I'll go with Hercules.

My biggest pet peeve is…?
Bad breath

My dream job is…?
Plastic surgeon

My biggest fan is…?
My father and Coach Ken from back home.

Tell us something interesting about your hometown?
My hometown Aylmer, Quebec, a suburb of Gatineau, borders with the city of Ottawa which is separated by a river.  The town is 50% anglophone and 50% francophone but it used to mostly be French. Because of this, the Anglophone/Francophone rivalry gets shaky at times. Also, Aylmer alone has 7 different golf courses.

Item of clothing:  I own a vintage Nike T-shirt that was bought by a family friend of mine in the 70's. It was given to me this year as a gift. It's pretty plain, it lost a bit of its colour and has a few small holes around the neck part but I really like it.
