(HALIFAX, N.S.) Atlantic University Sport is pleased to announce the complete schedule for the 2025-26 men's hockey season.
AUS men's hockey fans can look forward to a Wednesday, Oct. 1 start date for the 2025-26 season. The Acadia Axemen will host the Saint Mary's Huskies at 7 p.m. on opening day.
The remaining teams will open their seasons Friday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m.
The seven-time AUS defending champion UNB REDS play host to the Dalhousie Tigers in their home opener in Fredericton, N.B.
Meanwhile, the UPEI Panthers will host the STFX X-Men in Charlottetown, P.E.I., while the 2025 AUS finalist Aigles Bleus play host to Acadia in Moncton, N.B.
The fall competition schedule finishes on Saturday, Nov. 29, with teams taking to the ice again on Monday, Jan. 5.
The final regular season games of 2025-26 will be played Saturday, Feb. 14, with the top six teams moving on to postseason play. This will feature three rounds of playoff series with the top two seeds receiving byes into the semi-final round.
The 2026 U SPORTS University Cup men's hockey championship will take place March 19-22 and will be hosted by Saint Mary's University in Halifax, N.S.
The Atlantic conference will receive three berths in the national championship. The Huskies will receive one berth as hosts, and the remaining berths will be awarded to the AUS finalists.
Should Saint Mary's advance to the AUS championship final round, a consolation final series will be held to determine the recipient of the conference's third berth at nationals.
