Harrington and Willems to attend CFL Invitational Combine
Receiver Ben Harrington and defensive lineman Zechariah Willems have been invited to the upcoming CFL Invitational Combine in Waterloo, Ont.
A pair of STFX X-Men Football athletes have been invited to the upcoming CFL Invitational Combine in Waterloo, Ont. Receiver Ben Harrington and defensive lineman Zechariah Willems are amongst the draft-eligible athletes invited to attend.
Harrington - a 6'2", 181-pound wide receiver from Dartmouth, NS - played in all eight games for the X-Men this season, averaging 55.0 yards/game as he was fifth overall in conference receiving. He averaged 6.4 receptions/game with a total of 440 yards. Ben also saw time on special teams and was fouth in the AUS conference in returns, averaging 17.6 yards/game. He had 16 kick-off returns for 282 yards and 28 punt returns for 219 yards, and his all-purpose average of 117.6 yards/game was second best in the AUS this season.
Willems - a 6'2", 245-pound defensive lineman from Tony, ON - racked up 23 tackles for the X-Men in seven games played this season. He had 17 solo tackles and 12 assisted, while recording 3 sacks and 4 tackles for loss of yards.

TORONTO — Ahead of the CFL Draft and CFL Global Draft on April 29, over 140 draft-eligible prospects are slated to showcase their skills for the league's general managers, coaches and player personnel.
The University of Waterloo's Feridun Hamdullahpur Field House will be home to the CFL Invitational Combine on February 28.
The top prospects identified at the event will then join the top-ranked class of 2025 in Regina, Saskatchewan for the CFL Combine from March 21 to 23.

In addition to the attendees who advance through the Invitational Combine, the CFL Combine will feature the top prospects eligible for the 2025 CFL Draft, as well as the top global players hoping to be selected at the 2025 CFL Global Draft.
Friday, March 21 will see prospects take on the bench press, the vertical jump, and the fan-favourite 40-yard dash along with the 3-cone, shuttle, and broad jump.
On Saturday, March 22 and Sunday, March 23, hopefuls will strap on the pads and take to the field for two days of practices looking to leave a lasting impression on general managers, coaches, and scouts in attendance ahead of the CFL Draft.
