Fagnan, Hall & Capriotti named football players of the week after Loney Bowl victory

Pita Pit X-Men Football Offensive Player of the Week
X-Men quarterback Silas Fagnan was named the StFX Football Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 21, 2021. Silas, a third year Arts student from Bonnyville, AB received the AUS playoff MVP award in the X-Men's 25-17 Loney Bowl championship win over Bishop's Saturday. Silas was 22-36 in the game with 304 receiving yards and also had 4 rushes for 45 yards, helping to lead an X-Men second half comeback to win the AUS championship banner. Earlier in the week Silas was named an AUS all-star and the AUS most outstanding player of the year.

X-Men linebacker Makayeo Hall was named the StFX Football Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 21, 2021. Makayeo, a third year Arts student from Ottawa, ON led the X-Men in tackling in their 25-17 AUS Loney Bowl championship win Saturday over Bishop's. Makayeo had a solid defensive game for X, recording seven solo tackles in the game. His sure tackling helped the X-Men excel on the defensive side of the ball in the victory.

X-Men kicker/punter Max Capriotti was named the StFX Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 21, 2021. Max, a 3rd year Human Kinetics student from Mount Hope, ON scored 13 points in the X-Men's 25-17 championship win over Bishop's Saturday with four field goals and an extra point. Max kicked field goals from 34, 37, 22 and 33 yards out, including a key 4th quarter field goal that gave the X-Men an 18-10 lead at that point in the game. He also had 6 punts in the game for 250 yards, averaging 41.7 yards/punt and three kicks inside the 20.
