X-Men football honour Cormier, Rambi & Morgan as first athletes of the week

Beginning in the month of October, StFX Athletics will be resuming our Boston Pizza Athlete of the Week awards every Monday. Head coaches will submit nominations and awards will be allocated to two student-athletes who are deserving of the recognition based upon outstanding contributions in practices and/or intra-squad events, along with leadership and dedication outside their sport. The X-Men Football program will name a weekly offensive, defensive and special teams athlete of the week.

The X-Men Football athletes of the week for the week ending October 4th are as follows.

X-Men Football Offensive Player of the Week
Third year receiver Benoit Cormier, a Science student from Moncton, NB, has come back in great shape and is impacting the team with both his play and his on the field and off the field leadership.

X-Men Football Defensive Player of the Week
Fourth year defensive lineman Chris Rambi, an Arts science student from Richmond Hill, ON has put in a lot work in the off- season and has come back leaner and quicker. He is working extremely hard and his technique is much improved.

X-Men Football Special Teams Player of the Week
Fourth year linebacker Jacob Morgan, a Business student from Halifax, NS, is back after a year off due to injury, and is playing with energy and passion. He is playing fast and leading by example on the field with his effort in drills and compete periods.
