Tailback Ashton Dickson of the StFX X-Men is the Atlantic University Sport football offensive player of the week for the week ending Nov. 1, 2015.

A fourth-year arts student in his fifth year of eligibility, Dickson scored the game-winning touchdown in the fourth quarter on a two-yard run as the X-Men topped the Mounties 24-18 in Sackville, N.B.

The win earned StFX a second-place finish in the AUS regular season standings and the right to host the 2015 Subway AUS football semifinal game this Saturday in Antigonish.

In the win over Mount Allison, Dickson broke the all-time AUS record for most rushing attempts in a game with 41. He tallied 226 rushing yards and another 66 on three kickoff returns.

He finishes the season as the AUS rushing leader with 160 carries for 866 yards. He also led the conference in all-purpose yards with 1,320.

Linebacker Adam Kuntz of the St. Francis Xavier X-Men is the Atlantic University Sport football defensive player of the week.

A third-year business student from Camrose, Alta., Kuntz led all X-Men defenders with 8.5 tackles (five solo and seven assisted) in the 24-18 StFX win over Mount Allison.

Kuntz also had a pass breakup as well as an interception which he returned for 10 yards. He finishes the regular season with 27.5 total tackles.

Hometown: Grimsby, Ont.
Year of eligibility: Second
Academic program: BA Environmental Studies
Height and weight: 5'9", 170lbs

Kicker Ryan Lambert of the Mount Allison Mounties is the Atlantic University Sport football special teams player of the week.

A second-year environmental studies student from Grimsby, Ont., Lambert was successful on all three of his field goal attempts as well as on a point-after attempt, accumulating 10 points in Mount Allison's 24-18 loss to StFX Saturday.

Lambert's 22 field goals made this season set a new Mount Allison school record and are the second most in AUS history.

Despite the loss, the Mounties denied StFX the 11-point win they required to claim first place in the AUS standings. The Mounties earned a first-place finish for the second consecutive year and will host the winner of this weekend's semi-final matchup in the Subway AUS Loney Bowl Saturday, Nov. 14 at 2 p.m.
