Daily member skates at the Keating Centre AUX Arena. Public Skate is included for StFX students, faculty and staff holding an activated FULL MEMBERSHIP or StFX STUDENT MEMBERSHIP. Shinny Hockey (stick & puck)
Shinny hockey is back! A time for STFX Students to dust off the skates, grab a helmet, stick and gloves and head to the Arena for some pick up hockey. Helmets mandatory, must register using the self service portal or by reserving a spot by visiting or calling Saputo & Keating Guest Services. Shinny hockey is only available to StFX students with activated StFX STUDENT MEMBERSHIP
PROCEDURES & FACILITY PEOCEDURES & GUIDELINE
- Check in with facility prior to entering the ice surface
- Strollers, chairs and sleds are nor permitted on the ice during Member Skates
- Proper attire (skates or tot blades) is required - no other footwear permitted on the ice surface
- Hockey sticks & pucks are not permitted on the ice during Public Skates
- Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied and under the direct supervision of a parent or guardian (19+) for the duration of the Public Skate
- Helmets required for Children age 12 and under; helmets are strongly recommended for all skaters age 13+
- Please wash your hands or use hand santizer before and after you use XREC facilities and refer to our Proper Handwashing Guidelines
- Please observe proper Washroom Safety Practices
Please take note that on occasion, certain facilities may not be available due to maintenance, special events, etc. XREC staff will provide notice whenever possible, but memberships will not be extended.
