MacDonald Chrysler wins 26th annual Kehoe Golf Classic

The 26th annual Father Kehoe Golf Classic took place Friday afternoon, July 26th at the Antigonish Golf & Country Club. A field of 32 teams of 128 golfers participated in the four-person scramble, which honors the legacy of StFX alumnus and former athlete, coach and Athletic Director Father George Kehoe, in addition to raising funds for scholarships for StFX student-athletes.

MacDonald Chrysler won top low gross honors (58) as the tournament champions, winning by retrogression. The team consisted of Dave MacDonald, Craig MacDonald, Dennis Bonvie and Marc Champoux and took home the MacDonald Chisholm Insurance Trophy, as presented by Athletic Director Leo MacPherson.

The tournament runner up (58) was the River Rats, whose team members included Jeff Stanley, Jason MacLean, Leon Carter and Paul Kane.

The recipients of the Irene McFarland Memorial trophy for the top low net score (46) in the tournament was Team Dunphy, consisting of Adam Dunphy, Neldie MacDonald, Mike Murphy and Tyson Ball.  Kevin Wamsley's team took home second low net honors (49) with team members consisting of Wamsley, Gordon Beaton, Dick Pierpont and John MacIsaac.
