X-Women hockey goaltender Sojung Shin was named the StFX Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Jan. 11, 2015. Sojung, a third year Human Kinetics student (2nd year eligibility) from Seoul, Korea, backstopped the CIS No. 9 X-Women to two weekend wins, improving their record atop the AUS conference to 15-1-0. In Friday’s 4-1 victory over Dalhousie, Sojung had 18 saves. She followed up Sunday with a 5-0 shutout victory over Mount A with 22 saves. Sojung currently leads the AUS in save percentage (.954) and goals against average (0.98) with a 9-0-0 record. She is third in the country in goals against average and fourth in save percentage.
