X-Women Soccer forward Amanda Smith was named the STFX Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Oct. 2, 2022. Amanda, a first year Education student (4th year eligibility) from Ottawa, scored or assisted on all X-Women goals this weekend in a pair of games against Memorial. She tallied three goals all together and had one assist. In Saturday’s 3-0 win, Amanda was named the player of the game as she scored the first two STFX goals and assisted on the third. In Sunday’s close 2-1 loss, she scored the lone X goal in the game. She currently sits tied for first overall in AUS scoring with 5 goals and 7 points on the season.
