X-Women Basketball guard Aliyah Fraser was named the STFX Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Jan. 8, 2023. Aliyah, a fourth year Arts-Science Health student from New Glasgow, NS led the X-Women in scoring in two weekend games. In Friday’s 81-63 loss to CBU she scored 18 points and had five rebounds. In Sunday’s 95-85 win at CBU, Aliyah had a double-double game, netting a team-high 22 points and 11 rebounds, along with five assists and was named player of the game. She currently leads the team in scoring and is ninth in the AUS, averaging 14.3 PPG.
