X-Women soccer defender Abby Steen was named the STFX Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sept. 12, 2021. Abby, a first year Business student from Stittsville, ON lead the X backline with confidence and stability in two weekend wins. A strong first year defender, Abby played well in the X-Women’s 2-1 win over UPEI Friday night, and scored her first AUS goal in a 5-1 victory Sunday over SMU, the first goal of the game. Early in the season she is a key component in X’s defensive line, with her confidence and calmness impressive for a first-year student-athlete.
