X-Men hockey forward Regan Spears was named the StFX Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Feb. 24, 2019. Regan, a third year Business student from Port Hood, NS played a gritty playoff series for the X-Men against SMU, helping them comeback from a 2-0 deficit to win the semifinal series 3-2. Regan scored a goal in wins in Game 3 (3-1), Game 4 (6-3) and in the series deciding Game 5 (3-1). He was named player of the game in Friday’s Game 5 in Halifax as he scored the game winning goal, helping to secure StFX a berth in both the AUS finals and U SPORTS national championship. Regan currently leads all AUS players in playoff scoring with 7 points (4 goals, 3 assists).
