X-Women hockey goaltender Sojung Shin was named the StFX Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 6, 2016. Sojung, a fourth year Human Kinetics student (3rd year eligibility) from Seoul, Korea received player of the game honors in the X-Women’s heartbreaking 1-0 loss in triple overtime in Game 3 of the AUS semifinals against Saint Mary’s on Tuesday night.  Sojung had amazing saves throughout the night to keep the X-Women in the game, tallying 41 saves in total. In the playoffs this year she leads all AUS goalies with a .948 save percentage and 1.45 goals against average.
