X-Women track & field thrower Hailey Pollock was named the StFX Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Jan. 31, 2016. Hailey, a fourth year Human Nutrition student (3rd year eligibility) from Barrie, ON set a new school record in the shot put with a personal best throw of 12.44m at the McGill meet over the weekend. One of the largest meets in Canada, Hailey placed an impressive second overall in the shot put amongst 13 competitors. She also competed in the weight throw and placed 8th with a throw of 11.46m.
